Miss Nepal

The Miss Nepal/Dabur Vatika Miss Nepal (मिस नेपाल) beauty pageant is an annual event held in Kathmandu, Nepal. This pageant started in 1994. The winner of this event competes in Miss World and the 1st runner up completes in Miss Earth pageants respectively. The first Miss Nepal crowned was Ruby Rana. Later Miss Nepals included Jharana Bajracharya, Niru Shrestha who is currently a pilot, and Malvika Subba.

On 1998, the winner Jyoti Pradhan was dethored after she complete in Miss World 1998.
On 2000, 2006 & 2008 Miss Nepal was not held.
Prerana Shah came in Top 10 Finalist at Miss Asia Pacific 2003.
Sarah Gurung won the Best National Coustume at Miss Asia Pacific 2005 Talent Show 1.
Ayusha Shrestha won the World Miss University 2003 at South Korea.

Pageant Requirements
The applicant should be of Nepali nationality.
The academic qualifications should be minium 10+2 or equivalent.
Between the ages of 18 and 25.
Must be a Nepal Citizen.
Must not have given birth or be pregnant.
Never been married.
The minium height should be 5 ft. 4 inches.
